General Terms
Consultations
Initial assessments are free in Budapest but will be charged for in London. If you start treatment within 45 days of the Initial Assessment, the consultation charge will be deducted from your treatment. The price of the Initial Assessment depends on availability: you will be quoted the exact amount prior to finalizing your appointment.
During your consultation a CT or a panoramic x-ray (OPG) is required to assess the state of your teeth and mouth.
If for any reason you do not present yourself on time and in a state that the consultation can be performed, your appointment will be cancelled. If you miss or cancel your appointment twice you will be able to book the consultation only with deposit. Please note that your deposit is non-refundable if you miss or cancel the appointment for the second time. In certain cases we may need to move your appointment. In these cases we will notify you as soon as the need for rescheduling arises, and offer you alternative times.
If your consultation is in London, this will constitute an Initial Assessment only. During your Initial Assessment you will receive a personalised Treatment Plan which is valid for 90 days. Your final diagnosis will be set up abroad, often with the involvement of further specialists (for example: an implantologist assessing the amount and strength of your bone tissue to determine the feasibility of placing implants; a periodontologist assessing the health of your gums to determine the likelihood of inflammation, gum recession and the like; an orthodontist assessing the feasibility of moving your teeth with orthodontic methods; a gnathologist measuring your bite to determine where you apply the highest pressure to your teeth, etc).
Treatment Options
It is our aim that you receive adequate information on the treatment options available to you, together with their consequences, costs and possible risks. You should be able to discuss with your dentist the options available in order to select a course of treatment that is medically sound, aesthetically pleasing and financially affordable to you.
Please make sure you understand the implications of your treatment and the alternatives before agreeing to any treatment.
Dental treament package prices are valid only in conjunction with a package in its entirety and do not apply to any single component thereof. VitalEurope is not able to provide you with a breakdown of the cost for each individual component of your purchase.
No refund will be given for unused or partially used package components. All promotions are subject to availability and cannot be combined with any other VitalEurope offers or rebates.
Adjustments made to package pricing will not be made after payment has been applied. After payment has been made, no subsequent rate reductions will be applied retroactively.
VitalEurope discount cards can be used for all treatments except for yearly check-ups, consultations and scaling and polishing.
Course of Treatment
In some cases it may only become apparent after the commencement of your treatment abroad that the course of treatment discussed during your Initial Assessment has to be modified. Sometimes this happens as old crowns are being removed and loose teeth pulled. At other times it may happen at the very onset when specialists are consulted. The implications of such findings will be explained, and a modified treatment plan will be agreed. In some cases the modified treatment plan may involve an extra trip abroad.
During this process you may at any time decide not to continue with the treatment. In this instance you will only have to pay for treatment and laboratory work which has been provided.
Using temporary solutions (dentures/crowns/bridges) on a long-term could harm your remaining teeth or implants.Temporary dentures mean improper loading on natural teeth destroying supporting structures (gum and bone) causing increased mobility and possibly the failure of those. Plastic temporary crowns/bridges are not sealing the same way as the actual ones. Due to the gap between teeth and these type of crowns food is getting stuck causing decay and gum disease on long-term. Ineffectively fixed temporary dentures and debris collecting crowns/bridges also mean permanent irritation on implants and can cause their failure. In such cases if the patient does not follow the treatment time line and refuses to show up on the upcoming visit within 4 weeks from the designated time given in the treatment plan VitalEurope has the right to withdraw any discount given previously.
Please be advised that patients with infections diseases (HIV+, TB, etc.) can be treated if and only if their treatment is carried out entirely in Budapest. Additionally, the cost to cover the special disposable equipment needed for every appointment is to be paid by the patient.
VitalEurope has the absolute right to decline or discontinue treatment at any time without any obligation for compensation if you are not medically or mentally fit for the recommended treatment or if your payment obligations are not met. VitalEurope also has the absolute right to decline treatment if i) the patient is found to have withheld information or provided false / incomplete details regarding his or her medical history and ii) if for professional, medical or ethical reasons, the dental specialists do not deem it advisable to proceed.
In some cases VitalEurope may need to make changes to your appointment time and/or the place of treatment and/or the treating specialist. In this event we will contact you to advise you of those changes at the first available opportunity. VitalEurope has the right to outsource a part of its service to be done by a subcontractor. VitalEurope may at any time without notifying you make any changes to the Services which are necessary to comply with any applicable safety or other statutory requirements, or which do not materially affect the nature or quality of the Services. Please note that VitalEurope Hungary is a separate legal entity, and Hungarian laws will apply to treatment carried out in Hungary.
Travel
Travel, accommodation, meals and other ancillary expenses of treatment abroad will in all cases be borne by you, regardless of whether those expenses are incurred in respect of a consultation, treatment, checkups, guarantee or any other reason.
Always allow plenty of time for flights as we may not be able to reschedule your appointments. If you do not allow sufficient time for your stay abroad and laboratory work is delayed, you may need to make an additional trip. In such cases, when laboratory work is delayed, VitalEurope will cover the flight and accommodation costs of the additional trip with a similar class of flight and level of accommodation you paid for yourself, up to a maximum of 20% of the dental charges made to you during that visit and the extra trip.
VitalEurope
Vital Europe will act as the Payment Representative of VitalEurope in collecting London consultation and scan charges. Vital Europe is authorised by VitalEurope to bring any action that may arise in respect of the non payment of these charges. It is acknowledged by you that Vital Europe does not provide dental services and it is expressly agreed that no liability whatsoever will attach to it arising out of the performance or non performance of these Trading Terms or the Treatment Plan or any modifications to it.
Vital Europe staff may assist you with the booking of hotels, apartments, transfers, sightseeing, spas and the like, but you will be solely responsible for settling all and any costs arising directly with the service provider/operator. Under no circumstances whatsoever will Vital Europe be liable for any losses howsoever arising from the performance or non performance of any service provider/operator.
Cancellation of Dental Treatment
Cancellations for scheduled dental treatment are only accepted in writing (e-mails and faxes sent directly to VitalEurope) and must be received no later than 72 hours (3 working days) in advance.
In the case of cancellation for a patient’s first visit, there is no cancellation fee. However, due to the restrictive nature of the timing of treatments, a cancellation penalty of GBP 50 will be charged for the cancellation of a subsequent visit.
Customers are responsible for any cancellation fees imposed by other travel suppliers, such as airline or hotel cancellation fees or charges. Please note that for some hotels or apartments once your reservation is confirmed, your reservation may be wholly non-refundable.
Complaints
Should you have any complaints with the dental work performed, we suggest that you immediately approach your dentist. If you have complaints with any other aspect of your customer experience, or if your dentist is not available, please contact VitalEurope customer care on 0203 432 5957 or customercare@vitaleurope.com. Failure to bring your complaint to the attention of your dentist of VitalEurope at the earliest opportunity will be considered proof that the services were satisfactorily provided.
If your dental problem can not be satisfactorily resolved over the telephone, you may need to see a dentist.
(1) Our preference is for you to travel to the clinic which treated you originally. (2) Should this not be practical, we will invite you to our London consulting room to assess your situation. We will try to organise for the dentist who carried out your treatment to see you again, but this may not always be feasible, consequently another dentist associated with VitalEurope may need to see you. (3) As a third alternative, you may see a local dentist with your problem.
If it is determined that your work falls under guarantee, it will be treated according to the conditions described in the Guarantee section.
Should your complaint not be satisfactory resolved by VitalEurope then you may wish to make use of the Dental Complaints Service of the General Dental Council.
Guarantee
Different types of work are covered by different guarantee conditions, and you will receive a detailed guarantee statement after the work is performed. The aesthetic and functional performance of the work done in your mouth will depend on the workmanship of the laboratory work involved as well as on the condition of your teeth, gums and bones. Factors affecting the length of the guarantee period include general oral hygiene, smoking, diabetes, bone density and diet. Your guarantee will typically be conditional on regular checkups.
(1) If you travel to VitalEurope for aftercare, and it is determined that your work falls under guarantee, replacement or restoration of the original work will be performed free of charge.
(2) If you travel to London for aftercare, and the dentist determines at his sole discretion that the required remedial work is too extensive or in other way impractical to be performed in London, you may need to travel to VitalEurope to receive remedial work.
Disclosure
In order to perform our services you will be required to disclose certain personal information, including your personal data, travel plans and health records (“the Information”) to VitalEurope or any agent appointed by it to receive such information. No liability will arise in respect of any losses suffered by you where the Information disclosed is found to have been incorrect or incomplete. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that the Information provided is accurate and to immediately notify VitalEurope, or any agent appointed by it to receive such information, of any changes to it.

You expressly confirm that you have not entered into this contract on the basis of any representation that is not expressly incorporated into this contract.
No failure or delay by either party in exercising any of its rights under the contract shall be deemed to be a waiver of that right and no waiver by either party of any breach of contract by the other shall be considered as a waiver of any subsequent breach of the same or any other provision.
Any modifications to the Treatment Plan or Trading Terms must be made in writing and signed by the parties.
If any provision of these Trading Terms is held to be unenforceable in whole or in part, the validity of the other provisions of these Trading Terms and the remainder of the provision in question shall not be affected.
VitalEurope reserves the right to update or change these Trading Terms from time to time to reflect changes in its operating practice, changes in law affecting the provision of its Services or for other good reasons.
Hungarian law shall apply to this contract and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hungarian Courts. In the event of a dispute arising under or in connection with this contract, the parties shall first attempt to resolve such dispute amicably through conciliation.
