Sinus Lift
Sinus is hollow cavity in your skull. The sinus related to dental implant treatment is located in the back of the upper jaw behind your cheeks.
Why would I need sinus lift?
When the upper teeth are removed or lost there may be a limited amount of bone between the sinus and the gum. Dental implants need a certain amount of bone to be placed. To secure the adequate bone level, a sinus lift may be necessary to ensure implant success on a long-term.
How sinus lift is carried out?
During sinus lift surgery, a small window like opening is being prepared on the gum and the sinus is lifted up (vertically). The space below it is filled up with bone substitution material, which will regenerate your bone and make it strong to be able to place the implant.
