A dental veneer is a thin, shell like cover made of porcelain, glued on the front surface of the teeth. It is a popular choice for those with chipped teeth, a gap between teeth, or misshaped teeth. Veneers are a quick and easy way to improve your smile.

What are veneers?
When can I get a veneer?
Veneers are usually placed on healthy teeth only with small aesthetic problems (chipped teeth, a gap between teeth, or misshaped teeth). In case of having deep decays or if the tooth is broken it is better to have a crown as a long-term solution.
Can I choose the colour and shape of my veneer?
Absolutely! You and your dentist will discuss all the details of your dental work including colour and shape. We have a colour scale from regular white to the Hollywood smile white and also you can pick the shape of your future teeth based on computer designed photographs.
- Can I get veneers on all of my teeth?
Usually veneers are fixed on the front 8 teeth on the upper/lower jaw. Due to the thinness of the veneers if they would be put on molar teeth they might be fractured due to the pressure caused by chewing. If you would consider to have your molars improved we can fit crowns on them.
- Veneer or crown?
We often get the question: are crowns better than veneers? And how do I know which one is better for me? Both are good options but veneers are not recommended for everyone depending on the quality of your teeth, your bite and other factors. Also different types of crowns carry different features. Our dentist can evaluate you to see if you could receive veneers and discuss the various materials you can choose from.
